Liar Liar…Pants on Fire

The late famed Pulitzer Prize winning columnist, William Safire, called Hillary Clinton a congenital liar. (a condition from birth due to heredity or environmental aspects.).  This was back in Bill Clinton’s early years.  Nothing has changed. Change positions on issues to fit current conditions…no problem.  Talk with a Southern accent when speaking in the Southern States… fine and dandy…lie under oath while speaking to a Congressional Committee….a breeze.  Telling family members a video caused the deaths of four Americans from an attack at Benghazi….oh, why not.   That very night she told Chelsea and Egypt’s Prime Minister it was a direct Jihad attack.  Nothing about a video.  Shameless.
NBC/Wall Street poll says 27% think Hillary honest and straight forward.  53% say no. The rest?  Well you can guess how much they know about anything.
And yet, same poll, she would beat Donald Trump if the election was today. Dr. Carson would beat her by 10%….Rubio beats her by 5%…Cruz beats her by 3%.  Trump loses by 3%.  Why?  Because Trump would lose the vast majority of Hispanics  (ship them all back to re-enter if qualified…absolute nonsense.)  Black vote?  Forgetaboutit.  Women’s vote…no way.  Trumps fanatics are largely white males and a smattering of others.  Fortunately, in spite of what he says, Trumps numbers are fading or stagnant while Rubio is showing large gains.  Trump’s act is getting stale.  He should zero in on Hillary…
not his fellow nominees.  He is hurting them.
Back to Hillary.  She has the Democrat nomination except for one thing she can’t control.  The FBI investigation with Director Comey actively engaged.  Two solid sources have leaked to author/pundit, Monica Crowley, that 671 of Hillary’s emails contained classified material. Four emails are “extremely problematic.”  Two of those four reached the highest classified designation. And, one of those two contains satellite data about North Korea’s nuclear weapons program.  This document is an open and shut violation.  Clinton faces gross negligence of handling classified data.  And, obstruction of justice.
The FBI will bring those charges to the Attorney General of the U.S. Loretta Lynch.  It’s likely Obama will tell her what to do. Nothing. However, the charges made public will create havoc for Hillary.  Good chance it will cost her the election assuming Trump won’t be the nominee.  The Washington Post is all over this story.
The next Republican debate is Tuesday, Nov.10th on the Fox Business Network. Headlined by Neil Cavuto and others.  And if there is a more gorgeous questioner at Fox than Trish Regan, I’d like her to step forward.  Times are 5PM Central time for the “under card” and the main event set for 8PM Central time.  Unfortunately, fast gaining momentum, Chris Christie will
not be on the main event because his poll numbers were too low in the average of the polls taken. And yet one poll used did not have Christie listed in that poll.  His New Hampshire numbers are good and growing.  He’s competitive.  A former prosecutor turned
New Jersey Governor, Christie is smart, very fast on his feet and knows how and when to strike. He and Carly Fiorina would be Hillary’s worse nightmare.   Instead we get going no where Rand Paul.  He’s as dead in the water as Jeb Bush.
Always surprises in Iowa and New Hampshire….New Hampshire more important.  Here’s the latest New Hampshire poll numbers.
Trump..18%..Carson..15%..Rubio..9%..Christie, Kasich and Bush..8%.    Rand Paul at 3%.
A word about the new Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.  Easily the best choice.  Laying out legislation for ALL House members.  Ryan has unquestioned integrity, vision, tenacity and smart as they come.  Boehner, a good man, was not a public fighter and “out of gas.”
And keep this in mind.  Forget all the polls at this time.  They don’t win elections.  It is won by State by State primaries. Trump, the man with “the mouth that roars”  is no shoo in.  History shows New Hampshire is full of surprises.
Trump may get the surprise of his life.
I shall be more active on my blog, www.Jacksjargon.com. This blog will be posted soon. Stayed tuned.  Politics and NFL wagering…tons of American fun.
All the best,

Rubio/Trump

Same old Trump.  Always trying to tear down a fellow candidate.  Now it’s Rubio.

As Speaker of the House in Florida, Rubio had an American Express card to use for

State business.  Somehow it appears he used it for a personal reason and quickly paid the money back.  This is old buried news in Florida.  Rubio is now releasing all info pertaining to this issue.  This is nothing compared to Trump’s bankrupting 3-4 of his businesses.  Mr. perfect is not perfect.  Trump has no idea how to ship all eleven million+ illegals back to their native Country.

What’s he going to do…pull people out of their houses in to what?   Busses?  How do you find them all?  At what cost?   And, wreck families.  All this nonsense has done is for the GOP to lose the Hispanic vote.   It would never work.  It will never be done.

New poll shows all the leading candidates would beat Hillary.   Except one….Donald Trump.

Thee debate: Winners/Losers

Hands down it was Carly Fiorina’s night.  So says Fox Brit Hume, Bret Baire, Morning Joe’s whole crew and guests.
Rubio almost tied with a strong second and Chris Christie third.
Veteran Campaign manager, Steve Schmidt…..”Carly’s a star. Nobody can duplicate what she did last night.
Fluent on policy issues and the ability to articulate cogent answers.”
Carly nailed it on Iran (moving money concept), drugs, having lost a child to drugs, perfect on Trump’s insult on her
looks and him trying to switch to “it was her persona I was talking about”   Said Carly….”We all know what he meant.”
And combining an answer as to Planned Parenthood and Russia was nothing short of stunning ability hitting the mark
on both.   Can you just picture Hillary bumbling and stumbling in a debate with Carly Fiorina?
Joe Scarborough, as to Fiorina…”one of the strongest performances I’ve ever seen in modern American politics.”
He thought of memories of the “Iron Lady” Great Britain’s conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
Said Republican Nicolle Wallace, a campaign advisor/top assistant to many….”I think Trump crashed and burned last night.”
“But, I don’t think his supporters will care. He was everything his critics thought.  His poll numbers should dip. If Trump
ultimately is not the Parties nominee, it began last night.”
As for Dr. Ben Carson….nothing special.  A loss last night.
Elsewhere, Marco Rubio made Trump look foolish on foreign policy.  Said Trump, once again when questioned on foreign
affairs…..”I will assemble the strongest team to blah blah blah.  Rubio pounced….”The President needs to be ready
on the first day.”  “The world changes very quickly and does not wait.”
Donald Trump, way way over featured on split screen to a fault by CNN, was merely OK and will have to improve
dramatically over the coming debates.  His lack of depth on issues was exposed.  Faded as time went on.
Weekly Standards Stephen Hayes…”Trump was out of his depth…as well as Ben Carson.”  “Both have peaked.”
He got too much air time.  Seventeen minutes.  Nobody else came close.
Chris Christie was the guy I have always favored.  Witty, gutsy as always, controlled.  Strong performance.
The rest….Bush better not great.  Great line “My brother kept us safe.”  Huge applause.
Huckabee, Paul (Trump correct, he didn’t belong there) Walker, Kasich, Cruz ( understandably neither Party likes)
did nothing to better themselves.
An opinion, with the exception of Trump and Paul, any of the others would be a far better President than
anything the Democrat’s can scrounge up.
As for CNN….mediocre at best.   Tapper shutting off candidates would have been better with a bell or buzzer.
Who needed those other two questioners?  A waste. Far too much on Trump.  Again those split screens were
unnecessary and distraction.  Done for ratings. Also, late in the debate prep, CNN added an extra hour to run up
profit from extra expensive commercials.  Too long for many.  Not me though. It gave me more insight and
others more time.
New York Daily News front page hilarity:   C….Clown
                                                                   N….News
                                                                   N….Network
Final thought….Steve Schmidt reminds all, “New Hampshire is the only State with two female Senators and
a female Governor.     Carly Fiorina’s supporters smiling all day today.

Trump…yes or no?

“Donald Trump is an ego driven maniacal maniac. Trump is not
the same as the idea’s of Donald Trump.” Bobby Jindal,
Presidential candidate and Governor of Louisiana
Says Trump….:”Look at that face (referring to President
candidate and a woman Carly Fiorina). Would anyone vote
vote for that? Can you imagine that the face of our next President?”
Now he claims it was her persona. Baloney.
Don’t get me wrong. I have enjoyed watching and hearing
Trump. He can be fun and compelling.
Fox News senior editor/commentator Brit Hume says at times he simply
can’t stop listening to him. In his office, he says,
he’ll hear Trump’s voice on TV, glance up and is enthralled hearing what
he has to say until Trump is done.
BUT, on a later day, Hume goes on to say after the Fiorina
comments…..”Is this the behavior of a strong and confident man
prepared to be the leader of the free world?
Or is this school boy stuff? Sounds like a boorish sexist taunt from
somebody who has not grown up.
And there it is for so many taken by this man. And it’s not
just the no nothings and the semi no nothings, there are many
otherwise smart people backing Trump. It’s much like a cult following.
Anything Trump says is fine with them.
Here’s the latest from a ABC News/Washington Post poll.
1. Trump…33% 6. Paul…5%
2. Carson..20% 7. Huckabee…3%
3. Bush…8% 8. Kasich…3%
4. Cruz…7% 9. Fiorina…2%
5. Rubio 7% 10.Walker…2%
Simply amazing. Inexplicable. Trumps says anything and
anything goes.
Trump’s candidacy rests upon one thing…..I can do this job.
But can he? Really? Trump’s businesses have declared
bankruptcy four times. No other U.S. company has done
that in the last thirty years. His idea’s lack substance. For instance
he declares, on immigration, send them all back.
And then let them back in if they are worth while, more or less. What’s
he going to do? Have the Government pulling people
out of their houses…..packing them in a bus. And how will he find
them all? At the cost of billions. It’s nonsense.
And, is Trump really a Republican? He has a long list of
liberal stances.
1. Single payer health care. The liberals have always wanted it.
2. Take private property for businesses.
3. Supported the Wall Street bailout.
4. In favor of partial birth abortion. (kill the baby at delivery)
5. Said Hillary would make a terrific President.
6. Declared he is a Democrat.
Trump is the most liberal candidate running next to Bernie
Sanders. What many don’t see is polls also
show, at present, Trump would not beat Hillary Clinton. She’s up 3% A
woman who may be indicted in the future.
And Joe Biden is waiting, healing and meeting with money men. Author
John Heilman says Biden leaning now for a run.
The public has not vetted Trump, as I listed above, anymore than anyone
vetted Obama before he was elected.
We have no idea what he’ll do anymore than he does. Does he
truly believe Congress is going to go along
with all his proposals? Thin skinned as he is, he trashes anyone who
says a word against him.
So where does all this leave us at present? He appears to be
pulling away.
All is not lost as yet. Trump has made it known, he only wants to
appear in major events. The people in Iowa and New Hampshire want a
closer look at their candidates. They want one on ones. To talk with
them in person. Ben Carson
is doing that and it’s working. Kasich, Christie and others as well.
Kasich remains the fall back guy from Trump.
Keep this in mind. There is the second major debate this
Wednesday, Sept. 16th on CNN. Six PM (eastern time)
and eight PM for the main eleven on stage. Trump’s bluster, insults and
arrogance may very well wear thin.
ABC’s Matthew Dowd says Trump is a shoo in for the nom. Weekly
Standard’s William Krystal says no way.
Let’s not forget who was well ahead at this time last election.
Gov. Rick Perry with 29%. He dropped out
last week. Heaven help us if the American Republican primary voters
buy us another “pig in a poke.”
Sixteen months to go to retake our Country in this worst of
times. Four to six months until caucus/primaries.
Plenty of time to see though the bluster. He will not and can not
“Make our Country Great Again.”
Thin skinned arrogance does not work in the long run.

Major Poll results/Trump & Hillary

Hello everyone….”all that glitters” and you know the rest.  This goes for Donald Trump today as the first major poll post debate is now out. Trump leads in Fox News national poll of Republican primary voters.
Trump…25%
Carson..12%
Cruz……10%
Bush…..9%
Huckabee and Walker tied with 6%    Biggest losers Bush and Walker.  More and more I see Walker fading.   Seems Trump all day all the time.  He is Batman, Superman and
Captain Marvel (remember him?) all rolled into one.   HOWEVER….. Huge negatives for Trump make him highly unlikely the GOP Prez nominee.
Worst debate performance….no contest…Trump 32%.
Least likeability…..again Trump…..37%
If the Election held today…..Rubio beats Hillary 46% to 44%…..Bush beats Hillary 44% to 42%….. Trump clearly would lose to Hillary 5+%
So why Trump mania?   According to renowned columnist George Will….”Voters are giving a primal scream to send a message to the candidates. However when voters realize Trump would have the power to use nuclear weapons, at that point I think things change.”
Trump appears to be summer time entertainment.  Much like the kids movies out during
the summer.  Summers breeds more low news/information voters and much less news/political interest.  Things have not gotten serious yet.
Here’s the least likeable candidates from todays major poll.
Lindsey Graham….4%…Chris Christie…9%…Rand Paul…11%….TRUMP…37%
Best qualified to be President: Bush 67%, Rubio 63%, Hillary (Oy yoy
yoy) 62%, Sanders 48%, Cruz & Fiorina 47%, Dr. Carson 45%, Trump 45%. Walker 45%
And here may be the death knell for Trump.  After forty successful years, Las Vegas odds maker, Jimmy Vaccaro, has just posted the betting odds for the Republican nomination.  Ready for this? Bush at 2 to 1…..Walker at 5 to 1….Kasich 10 to 1 (I’ll grab that one)….Huckabee and Rubio 12 to 1. Trump?   15 to 1.
Meanwhile Hillary desperately trying to weather the storm. Says famed Watergate reporter/author Bob Woodward, “Potentially this is really a big deal.”  “An endless process.”   Frankly, Hillary is a mess. Telling guarded canned attempted jokes of her situation.  Pathetic. She turned over her illegal server to the FBI voluntarily.  Yeah right. The FBI was going to take it otherwise.
Says candidate Carly Fiorina, “Hillary gave her server to an IT Tech company in New Jersey to make certain it was scrubbed completely.”   Trouble is there may be a back up server according to a State Dept. leaker. Everything Hillary says is parsed.  I received no emails MARKED top secret.  ABC’s John Karl reports Hillary staff had a way of scrubbing off Top Secret from all her emails. 60% of the entire public says she is lying. Secretary of State John Kerry says “yes, it was likely China read her emails.”  Very likely they are reading mind too.” Here is a core of her issues.  The FBI is trying to determine what was learned from foreign sources from her emails.  It could take months. However, when they are done, what will
they do with that server?  Or any other back up server they may find.  Turn it over to the Inspector Generals who found 2-4 of 40 of her emails revealing classified info
or hand it over to Obama’s Justice Dept. where it very well goes no where. What
would the FBI disclose publicly?
Leading Democrat’s looking for a Hillary alternative. Forget Bernie Sanders as a national candidate. (the Donald Trump of the Left).  He leads her in New Hampshire, but not a chance nationwide. Here come the names again…..Al Gore….VP Joe Biden, great for
hilarity and somebody cracked “Maybe they can dig up Michael Dukakis from somewhere.”  My guess is if Sec.of State John Kerry wins the Nobel Peace Prize in October, he’d love to jump in and try again.  Note they are all previous big time election losers.
In a weekend Wall Street Journal editorial, former Attorney General Michael McCasey said “Hillary Clinton is vulnerable to prosecutors for one misdemeanor and three felonies.”  “Her judgment makes her unqualified for the office she seeks.”
What I shall never forget is Hillary telling families of the dead bodies coming back from Benghazi it was all because of that audio tape that caused the raid.  She absolutely knew it was not many days previously.  Absolutely despicable.
So what if she pulls another Houdini escape from this debacle?  Still get the nomination? Will she win? Peter Harkin, an excellent Democrat poll taker says, “In every Presidential election since 1948, with Nixon the exception, the most likable candidate wins.” “Doesn’t go over well for Hillary.” Hillary likeable?    Off the wall hilarious.  And, I’ll drink to that…and another.
Comments or questions anyone?
All the best,

Iran Deal + Hillary

Hello everybody……Here’s the deal with the deal.  There is no deal.  Never can I remember so much crap over dealing with a so called Iranian nuclear deal that was merely a verbal agreement.  More or less a hand shake. Might as well have been a hand shake with Charles Manson.

There is no written agreement.  Already there are disputes over the verbal deal.  Iran thinks the sanctions will come off immediately.  This is all they really want.  Plus, they want notice before anyone inspects their facilities.  Obama talks about a “Snap Back” of sanctions should Iran violates the deal.  Forgetaboutit. Once U.S. business goes in after this so called deal is finalized there will be no “Snap Back.”

If it ever come to a written agreement, should Obama cave again, it won’t be worth the paper it will be written upon.  Iran will never comply.  And, Congress is the only legislative body that can lift the sanctions.  Doubtful when they see it all in writing.  Senator Lindsey Graham (R SC) has the best take. Keep the deal and stall until the next President 2016 and get a better deal.
Even dovish France thinks this deal stinks.

Meanwhile Hillary, wounded badly, moves along getting ready to announce for Presidency. She has a rough balancing act to do.  She must keep her base of leftist Democrat’s and yet try to distance herself form Obama.  Tough task.

Her destroying all emails is a mess. Latest Fox News poll of registered voters finds 81% believe
she broke the law, or did something unethical or used bad judgment. Former Clinton adviser Dick Morris says “It’s beyond a mess.  It’s a disaster..”  I saw ex Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley say he will run against her in the primaries.  There may be others. Possibly ex Senator Jim Webb or Senator Elizabeth Warren who keeps saying she WON’T RUN FOR PRESIDENT. But, not saying she wouldn’t accept a ground swell draft of her that the media and leftists want.
Also, some think Secretary of State John Kerry will jump into the mix again.

Hillary has tons of money and a strong organization.  Likely will get the nomination.  But, we felt the same in 2008 when nobody had heard of Obama.  In the long run, even the no-nothings and the semi no-nothings will note her unsavory character and dealings. TV commercials will prove that again. Discontent will grow with Hillary.  A weak campaigner, debater and gaffe prone. O’Malley could beat her in some early primaries.  He was a bad Governor, but good campaigner.

Oh, I have to admit Hillary’s cleverness. In having her own server and destroying all her own emails she knew the only way they could be retrieved would be by order of the State Department. And that’s just not going to happen.  As George Will said…”Hillary could find a loop hole in a stop sign.”

As for the Republicans declaring for President.  Rand Paul today.  Ted Cruz already and Marco
Rubio on April 13th, any poll you see means absolutely nothing. I keep hearing what a wonderful orator Cruz is.  As noted earlier, Cruz is hated by his fellow Republican’s. He’s the last guy anyone wants to sit next to in the GOP dining room.  To me he sounds like a strident used car salesman. He has no chance of getting the nomination. Same for Rand Paul who will spend the next many months denying he is the Isolationist as he is at a time when that’s the last thing we need.

Marco Rubio has gained strength and has a shot at the nom….important he is Hispanic,
smart as they come, likely win Florida and explains things well.  Set back is he too youthful looking after the Obama disaster and too serious.  Needs to losin’ up.  Huckabee a very good campaigner, but his Evangelical minister status is a killer.  Jeb Bush has money and some support.  But, no enough gain for all he’s done.  His name hurts him.  Dan Walker is OK, but now making campaign goofs too obvious.

Who do the Democrat’s fear the most?  That’s easy. Unannounced Ohio Governor John Kasich. He has done a masterful job turning Ohio around in a conservative strategy, re-elected by a huge margin including many Dem,’s and minorities, done some measures to help the have nots, a very good talker and explainer (having subbed for Bill O’Reilly on Fox News) very personable and likeable. And the latter is the key.  He’s thinking about running.  If he does, and I think he will, that’s the guy I’d put my support and money on.

But, Kasich sure needs a hair style.  Always has a bad hair day.

All the best,

JT
